This is a clip from the first month of Symbology, a monthly show run by John Loftin and myself.
Basically each show has a different symbol for its theme. Things like the peace sign, gender signs, rainbow flag, heart, diamond, globe etc... providing a unifying theme for the night. At the start of the show John and I will present a PPT deconstructing the sign, then will have 4-6 comedians do a 10-15 minute set, which they will somehow connect to that night's symbol. The next show is on August 4th at 9:30 at the Creek in the Cave. The Symbol is the Recycling Symbol.
The show runs at the Creek and the Cave (1093 Jackson Ave Long Island City, NY 11101) on the Last Wednesday of each month (though we have two in August, on the 4th and the 26th). This show was on May 27th.
